The Republic of Korea is currently in a situation where its love and expectations for its own country continue to decline. In this situation, the project aims to the value of Korea to find the meaning hidden in it and to promote it. Since rice cakes(a.k.a. tteok) contain various characteristics of Korean culture, they are one of the most Korean foods, and KUNGTTEOK!, the sound made when making rice cakes, is an onomatopoeic word that gives you a sense of Korean rhythm.
The book was created by visualizing 50 rice cakes that were classified based on the values of the Republic of Korea among the rice cakes. Although the rice cakes in the picture book are divided into a basic form and a practical form, the basic form of the rice cakes is the original form of the rice cakes, and the practical form is a virtual form evolved from the conventional rice cakes. This form can also be applied to packages. Hope to discover new specificity of Korea through various types of korean tteok book.
Garaetteok(가래떡) is the most pure rice cake made solely of rice, with no other topping in it. Based on the flexible shape of Garaetteok, the name of various tteok were produced.
